The Rundown: Aa shipwrecked crew finds themselves tasked with hunting a dangerous creature.

Captain Coffin and the crew of the Calydonian find themselves off the Scottish Coast in the middle of a dangerous storm whose winds force them ashore when they fail to find the light of a nearby island. As they make their way ashore, they are warned that something wrong is happening in the local town. Something that will bring them to the Colonel Lundgate and his men at the local fort turned convent.
After some tense moments, the men are allowed to stay and promised help in repairing their ship in exchange for the skilled hunters tracking and capturing an unknown creature that has terrorizing the town. After agreeing to help and meeting the unusual nuns who live in the fortress, Coffin and one of his men decide to return to the abandoned town to look for information.
The Story: The writers have created an intriguing and entertaining mystery with great atmosphere throughout. I like the dark, ominous tone of the story and the characters are compelling and engaging. I like the slow burn of this first issue and how it teases what is to come both in the story and with the characters. I look forward to seeing how the story progresses.
The Art: Yapur crafts some beautiful art throughout the issue. I love the visual style of the story and the character designs a lot. There are also some great shots in the story that enhance the dark tone of the plot.
